Deaf persons have walked this great earth since the beginning of civilization. There are an enormous amount of deaf individuals who have contributed greatly to the country we live in and have represented the deaf community well. Hellen Keller and Judith Pachciarz are a couple of the dynamic people just to name a few. The deaf culture, community, and language are very much alive in the world today.
