General Education Classes
General Education classes are found within a public school system, it is comprised of hearing students and a regular teacher. It may also include 1-3 deaf students per classroom. If needed, the deaf/HH student may have an itinerant teacher to provide additional services. Therefore, the itinerant teacher will use the pull out method to make sure the child is receiving the appropriate educational needs. In addition, students may receive support services. These services may include note takers and interpreters just to name a few. Lastly, speech-language pathologist may play a role in general education classes if the child needs speech services.
